Thanks to a 2-0 victory in the Varsity Division, Stanford sailing secured its 15th consecutive Big Sail win over California. The Golden Bears won four of the five divisions, but Stanford captured the finale from the St. Francis Yacht Club in San Francisco on Tuesday afternoon.
In the shadow of the Golden Gate bridge, the two programs race a best-of-three in five divisions, including varsity, women's and three alumni events - young, masters and grandmasters.
Junior Jack Parkin served as skipper for the varsity and was joined by junior Victoria Thompson, senior Jacob Rosenberg and sophomore Wiley Rogers
The annual Big Sail served as the finale of the fall slate for Stanford sailing.
