STANFORD, Calif. – Four players registered double-digit kills to lead No. 3 Stanford to a 23-25, 25-13, 25-19, 25-21 win over California, Friday, on Senior Day in Maples Pavilion.
 
Stanford closed out the regular season 24-4 overall and 18-2 in the Pac-12 Conference. The Cardinal has won 11 in a row heading into the postseason.
 
Stanford hit .272 as a team and held Cal (20-10, 10-10 Pac-12) to a .118 clip. The Cardinal finished with 62 kills to the Bears' 47 and out blocked Cal, 12.5 – 9.0. Stanford's senior class was honored during a postmatch ceremony. The group has won 115 match, three consecutive Pac-12 titles and two national championships.
 


Senior Audriana Fitzmorris led all players with 16 kills on .33 hitting and four blocks. Senior Kathryn Plummer added 13 kills, eight digs and an ace. The outside hitter moved past Kristin Folkl (1994-97) for fifth all-time in program history in career kills (1,840).
 
Senior setter Jenna Gray controlled the offense with 46 assists to go with six kills, seven digs and three blocks. Senior libero Morgan Hentz collected 20 digs and six assists – moving her into fourth place all-time in Pac-12 history in career digs (2,207), while senior defensive specialist Caitlin Keefe, who started in the match in the back row for Meghan McClure, finished with a dig.
 
McClure turned in her second double-double of the season with 12 kills on .385 hitting and 11 digs. The outside hitter also registered a career-high six blocks. Sophomore middle blocker Holy Campbell tallied a season-high 10 kills on a .348 attack percentage and had five blocks.
 
Senior Madeleine Gates had a match-high seven blocks to go with five kills and two digs. Junior defensive specialist Kate Formico recorded three aces, three assists and eight digs for the Cardinal, while junior Sidney Wilson finished with a season-high three digs.
 
Stanford has now won 16 in a row over the Golden Bears. Cal was led by Preslie Anderson's 13 kills on .444 hitting and five blocks. Junior Mima Mirkovic added nine kills and nine digs, but was held to .083 hitting. Libero Emma Smith had a match-best 21 digs.
 
As the Pac-12 champion, the Cardinal has earned an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. Selections will be announced on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. on ESPNU.
