COOPER RIVER, NJ. – No. 1 Stanford heads to the east coast to compete for the Knecht Cup among other top rowing teams.
This trip marks Stanford's second time traveling to the east coast this spring season. For its first competition in late March, the Cardinal was in Princeton, New Jersey for the Class of 2015 Cup, where the team won both of its races.
This weekend's races will begin early on Saturday morning. Stanford competes in heat one of the Women's Lightweight Eight at 7:00 a.m. and heat one of the Women's Lightweight Four at 9:32 a.m. Stanford will also race Varsity Eight and Varsity Four boats.
The Cardinal's Varsity Eight will race at 9:56 a.m. in heat one and its Varsity Four at 8:12 a.m. in heat two.
For each race, the first and second place boats will qualify for the Grand Final on Sunday.
