SAN DIEGO, Calif. – No. 3 Stanford travels south to compete in the San Diego Crew Classic on Saturday and Sunday.
Stanford won all 10 of its races while hosting the Pac-12 Challenge last weekend.
This weekend, Stanford will race three varsity eight boats and one varsity four. All of the Cardinal's boats will be racing for different Cup titles.
Stanford's first varsity eight boat races on Saturday at 9:12 a.m. in heat 2 of the Jessop Whittier Cup. Its second varsity eight races at 10:00 a.m. in heat 3 of the Jackie Ann Stitt Hungness Trophy and its third varsity eight competes at 12:08 p.m. in heat 2 of the Carley Copley Cup.
In between its varsity eight races, Stanford will race its varsity four at 10:24 a.m. in heat 3 of the Karen Plumleigh Cortney Cup.
Saturday's race results will determine which boats will reach the finals of the respective Cups, all which take place on Sunday.
