STANFORD, Calif. – No. 4 Stanford will play host to an NCAA Regional for the 18th time in program history, as announced Sunday by the NCAA.
The entire postseason field, including national seeds, will be revealed Monday at 9 a.m. PT on ESPNU. Tickets are on sale starting Tuesday at 9 a.m. at GoStanford.com.
The Cardinal (41-11-0, 22-7-0 Pac-12) finished second in the Pac-12 with its only series loss of the season coming at the hands of No. 1 UCLA. Stanford owns a 143-76-0 (.653) overall record in 34 postseason appearances, including a 65-18 (.783) clip in games played at Sunken Diamond. The Cardinal, which hosts a regional for the third straight season, last reached the College World Series in 2008.
