Regional Field Set

STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford will play host to an NCAA Regional as the No. 11 seed, as announced Monday by the NCAA.

The Cardinal (41-11, 22-7-0 Pac-12) welcomes UC Santa Barbara (45-9-0, 19-5-0 Big West), Fresno State (38-14-1, 20-8-1 Mountain West) and Sacramento State (39-23-0, 18-9-0 WAC) to The Farm for the 18th regional in program history. Stanford opens the tournament on Friday at 1 p.m. when it squares off with Sacramento State while UC Santa Barbara and Fresno State face off at 7 p.m.

The double-elimination format continues through Monday with all games available on ESPN3.com. Regional tickets will be available here at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.

The Cardinal (41-11-0, 22-7-0 Pac-12) finished second in the Pac-12 with its only series loss of the season coming at the hands of No. 1 UCLA. Stanford owns a 143-76-0 (.653) overall record in 34 postseason appearances, including a 65-18 (.783) clip in games played at Sunken Diamond. The Cardinal, which hosts a regional for the third straight season, last reached the College World Series in 2008.
