STANFORD, Calif. – Alexandra Pintchouk has returned to The Farm and has joined head coach Tabitha Yim as an assistant coach for women's gymnastics, the program announced Friday.
"We are thrilled to have Alex back on board," Yim said. "She will be instrumental in the development of our student-athletes as gymnasts, scholars and people."
A four-year letterwinner for the Cardinal (2004-2007), she was a team captain, two-time Pac-10 All-Academic first team selection, and was a four-time NACGA Academic All-American.
Pintchouk earned a B.A. in international relations and received a master of arts in sociology.
"I am humbled and excited to be able to bring my passion for the sport and love for this team and university together," she said. "This is where it all started. I grew as a student-athlete, as a leader, and a person, and I cannot wait to help lead and inspire the next wave of talented young women on and off the floor."
Pintchouk served as a graduate assistant for Stanford in 2008-09, specializing in beam, floor skill development and choreography. She attended Harvard Business School from 2012-14, working at Boston Consulting Group in Chicago and the United Arab Emirates.
Prior to returning to Stanford, Pintchouk worked at Nike, where she was Director of NTC Premium Business, and developed and launched first-subscription business as part of the Nike Training Club app. From 2016-18, she was Director of Digital Strategy.
"Alex has a deep appreciation for the scholar-athlete experience and a tremendous understanding of our sport," said Yim. "Her passion and knowledge coupled with her elite mentality and work ethic make her a perfect fit for our program."
Pintchouk, fluent in Russian and English, is ready to immerse herself in the Cardinal program and help it soar to new heights in 2020.
