• Stanford and Washington meet for the 90th time in series history on Saturday. The Cardinal looks to even the all-time series, entering this year’s game with an all-time record of 42-43-4 against the Huskies.
• Thirteen Cardinal have made their first career starts through five games, including five true freshmen. Thirteen true freshmen have appeared in a game already this season for Stanford.
• Junior QB Davis Mills made his second career start on Saturday at Oregon State, going 18-of-25 for 245 yards and three passing touchdowns. He also added a receiving touchdown en route to being named a Manning Award Star of the Week.
• The Cardinal scored on the “Stanford Special” Saturday night, as Davis Mills pitched to Cameron Scarlett, who flipped to tight end Colby Parkinson. Parkinson then passed to Davis Mills, who made a leaping grab in the end zone for the touchdown. Since 1996, Parkinson is just the seventh non-QB to throw a touchdown pass in a game for the Cardinal.
• Fifth-year running back Cameron Scarlett has been a workhorse for the Cardinal and enters this week’s game leading the Pac-12 in rushing yards with 413 on 94 attempts. He also has 11 receptions for 106 yards.
• Junior receiver Connor Wedington continues to prove himself as a threat in all facets of the game. Through five games, Wedington leads the Cardinal with 604 all-purpose yards (214 receiving, 360 kick return, 30 rush).
• After starting eight different lineups in 13 games last season, Stanford has already started four different offensive line combinations in the first five games of the 2019 season.
• Senior placekicker Jet Toner was named Pac-12 Special Teams Player of the Week after his game-winning field goal at Oregon State.
