On March 11, 2018 after signing a three-year contract with San Francisco, Sherman declared he would get the 49ers back to the Super Bowl. Six hundred and seventy nine days later, Sherman delivered on his promise and led San Francisco to its seventh Super Bowl appearance, sealing the NFC Championship with a late interception of Aaron Rodgers in the 49ers' 37-20 win over Green Bay on Sunday. Appearing on all 63 defensive snaps, Sherman finished with three tackles and has allowed just two catches on five targets in two postseason appearances. Sherman is aiming for his second Super Bowl ring in three appearances, having made back-to-back Super Bowl appearances as a member of the Seattle Seahawks.
