Stanford Athletics is also pleased to announce the sale of alcoholic beverages to the general public at Sunken Diamond for the 2020 season. Beer and wine will be available at concessions for all attendees aged 21 or above. Stanford will contract with a professional, licensed vendor experienced in selling and serving alcohol in a controlled and professional environment.
"After conversations with colleagues across the University, we have identified the 2020 baseball season as the ideal opportunity to introduce the sale of beer and wine at Stanford Athletics events," said the Jaquish and Kenninger Director of Athletics Bernard Muir. "We are committed to providing a quality game day experience for all fans and to doing so safely and responsibly. Our hope is that this pilot program is successful and opens the door to expanding to other venues in the future."
More information, including pricing and other operational details, will be released in advance of Stanford's season opener against Cal State Fullerton (Feb. 14).
