All-Academic Honors

STANFORD, Calif. – Eight Stanford runners were named to the All-Academic cross country team by the U.S. Track and  Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

From the Pac-12 champion Stanford women's team, Ella Donaghu, Julia Heymach, Fiona O'Keeffe, and Jordan Oakes earned the distinction.

The Pac-12 champion Cardinal, which also won the NCAA West Regional and placed third at the NCAA Championships, had a team grade-point average of 3.68 and was among from 237 from NCAA Division I to earn Team Academic honors. Only 18 women's teams had a higher combined GPA.

Steven Fahy, Alex Ostberg, Alek Parsons, and Thomas Ratcliffe of the NCAA's sixth-place men's team also received All-Academic honors.

The men's team had a team GPA of 3.45 and was among 191 men's Division I programs to receive Team Academic honors for having a combined team GPA of 3.0 or above.

This is the fourth cross country All-Academic honor for O'Keeffe, the Pac-12 individual champion, and third for Fahy, Ostberg and Parsons. O'Keeffe also is a four-time cross country All-American.

To qualify, runners must have earned All-America honors at the NCAA Championships (top 40) or placed among the top 25 at an NCAA regional, and have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.3.
