DAVIS, Calif. - No. 1 Stanford lived up to its ranking, picking up another two wins on the season at the Aggie Classic, defeating 18th-ranked Pacific 17-3, followed by a win over No. 12 Fresno State 8-6.

The Cardinal put together a dominant performance in the day's first match, cruising past the Tigers, 17-3.

Eight different Cardinal got in on the scoring party, led by four from Madison Stamen.

Up 3-2 in the second quarter, Stanford went on a 12-0 run into the fourth quarter.

Thea Walsh and Kit Sturm combined for the win as the goalie, as Walsh stopped five shots for the Cardinal.

The Cardinal faced a stiffer text in its second match of the game, fighting past the Bulldogs, 8-6.

Down 2-0, Stanford responded with a 5-0 run to take a lead of its own, but the Bulldogs responded with two more goals before the half to make the score 5-4.

FSU made it 5-5 in the third, but Kayla Constandse broke the tie, followed up by a goal from Sarah Klass to make it 7-5.

The Bulldogs made it 7-6, but Stamen delivered the knockout punch with 1:45 remaining in the game to give the Cardinal the win.
