STANFORD, Calif. - A pair of big innings from Nevada handed the Wolf Pack (4-10) an 8-3 victory over Stanford (13-3) on Sunday, ending an eight-game win streak for the Cardinal.
Stanford led 3-1 headed into the fifth inning, but Nevada scored four runs on five hits, including a three-RBI double from Ashley Salausa, to claim a 5-3 advantage.
The Wolf Pack added three more insurance runs in the seventh, highlighted by a Mele Tausinga two-run home run, to eventually earn the 8-3 victory.
Senior Kiana Pancino, one of four pitchers used by the Cardinal on Sunday, was saddled with the loss after allowing four runs on three hits and a walk over one inning of work. The loss dropped Pancino to 2-1 on the season.
Nevada also used four pitchers, with Kendall Fritz tossing the final 3.2 scoreless frames to earn the victory and move to 3-4.
Offensively, Stanford managed three runs on five hits, with the biggest being a solo home run from Emily Schultz in the fourth. The round-tripper was Schultz' second of the season.

The Cardinal will wrap up a 15-game homestand next weekend, welcoming Pacific, Rhode Island and Saint Francis to The Farm for the DeMarini Invitational. Stanford's first game of the tournament will be Friday at 4 p.m. against Pacific.
