It was a slow start on offense for both teams to start the day, as each squad traded turnovers to start the first period and neither could find the back of the net.

Stanford quickly remedied that in the second, getting two straight scores from freshman Katie Lyons on the powerplay opportunities. The Constandse sisters ended the half on a high note, as Hannah Constandse fed Kayla Constandse for Stanford's third goal, before Hannah got one herself to own a 4-0 lead.

The Cardinal advantage swelled to 6-0 with goals from Lexi Rowell and Chloe Harbilas to open the third period before the Tritons got on the scoreboard, but three more from Stanford gave the road team a 9-1 lead.

Hannah Constandse pushed the lead to 10-1, and UCSD got its final goal of the day on a powerplay.

Emalia Eichelberger and Thea Walsh split time in goal for the Cardinal, with Eichelberger collecting nine saves.
