Academic Accolades

STANFORD, Calif. - One of 73 programs to earn 2019 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I National Academic Team Award distinction, Stanford also placed 18 student-athletes on the list for the National Academic Squad, ranking third in the nation for most players honored. 

The Division I National Academic Team Award recognizes programs that earned a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the fall semester of the 2019-2020 school year. The Division I National Academic Squad program honors student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3 or higher through the first semester of the 2019-2020 academic year.

The Cardinal has earned the National Academic Team Award in 16 years of its 18-year existence. 

Led by four-time National Academic Squad honorees Kelsey Bing, Phoebe Crosthwaite and Jessica Welch, Stanford's fellow honorees included Madison Connell, Lily Croddick, Megan Frost, Liz Heckard, Kaylie Mings, Isabelle Pilson, Juli Porto, Caroline Reinhart, Hannah Santos, Hannah Schofield, Fenella Scutt, Emily Surgent, Lynn Vanderstichele, Rose Winter and Corinne Zanolli. 

Stanford, conference champions in 2019, also featured 20 on the America East Conference Honor Roll.
