The Cardinal jumped out to a 3-0 lead before the Sun Devils countered with three consecutive scores to make it 3-3 with 6:24 left in the third period. Four minutes later, Arizona State seized its first lead at 5-4.

Trailing 8-7, Stanford evened the match at 8-8 following Hannah Constandse's equalizer with 2:11 left in the fourth period.
