Win at Western Regionals

MESA, Ariz. – Stanford claimed first place at Western Regionals over the weekend, amassing 102.0 points, ahead of University of Arizona (81.0) and Northern Arizona University (55.0).

"I'm proud of the performances that our team showed this weekend," said head coach Megan Azebu. "It was a fantastic opportunity to compete at the Skyline Aquatic Center, and we are excited to return for Collegiate Nationals at the end of the month. We still have a ways to go, but our athletes are fired up and ready to get to work!"

The Cardinal swept the podium in both the duet and trio competitions. Hailee Heinrich/Caitlin Klauer (79.0333) earned first, Jacklyn Luu/Alexandra Suarez (78.6333) finished second, and Emily Brieant/Sophia Susac (76.4667) placed third in the duet, while Karen Li/Jacklyn Luu/Alexandra Suarez (79.7667) earned first, Grace Alwan/Hailee Heinrich/Caitlin Klauer (78.5667) finished second, Lily Randhawa/Sophia Susac/Sabrina Walsh (75.5333) placed third in the trio competition.

Jacklyn Luu was the high scorer in the solo competition, earning 80.2333 points, and the technical competition (81.1122).

Stanford won the team competition with 82.0000 points, ahead of University of Arizona (72.4833).

The Cardinal will travel back to Mesa, Ariz. for Collegiate National Championships from Mar. 26-28.
