Cardinal Signs Kelly

STANFORD, Calif. – Chris Kelly has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Stanford men's volleyball team, head coach John Kosty announced today.

Kelly is a setter out of El Segundo High School in El Segundo, California. He competes for Team Rockstar 18, which is coached by Cardinal alumnus Matt Fuerbringer. The younger brother of Princeton setter Joe Kelly, Chris will add depth to the Cardinal roster at a position of need.

"We are excited to sign Chris Kelly during the April signing period," said Kosty. "He is a player with solid ability to run a team and possesses good delivery of hittable sets. He is a great addition to our core of setters.

"Beyond volleyball playing ability, Chris is absolutely the type of teammate you want to bring into your program. A dedicated worker with a team-first attitude, his personal character is typical of the best that Stanford has to offer. I feel very fortunate that this young man is joining our family."

Kelly joins Kupono Browne (Honolulu, Hawaii), Aidan Peters (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) and Luke Turner (Hermosa Beach, Calif.) as part of Stanford's incoming class of 2024.
