Stepfan Taylor ran for a career-high 189 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries to guide Stanford to a 21-3 victory over California in the 115th Big Game. Taylor, who would eventually finish his career as Stanford's all-time leading rusher, surpassed Toby Gerhart for second on Stanford's career list in the victory.

#9 - Bryce Love vs. UCLA – September 23, 2017Bryce Love rushed for 263 yards and a touchdown on 30 carries as Stanford beat UCLA 58-34. The 2017 Doak Walker Award winner averaged 8.8 yards per carry against the Bruins, including breaking free for a 69-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

#8 - Tyler Gaffney vs. Notre Dame – November 30, 2013Redshirt-senior Tyler Gaffney sealed a 27-20 victory over Notre Dame on Senior Night with an 18-yard burst for a first down that allowed the Cardinal to run out the clock. Gaffney, who rushed for 189 yards and a touchdown on 33 carries, pushed forward and gained 14 yards after contact on that final run, dragging defenders nearly the entire distance.

#7 - Christian McCaffrey at California – November 19, 2016Christian McCaffrey rushed for 284 yards on 31 carries and scored three touchdowns, including a 90-yarder in the third quarter, to set a Big Game record and break his existing school record for yards on the ground as the Cardinal defeated California 45-31.

#6 - Christian McCaffrey vs. UCLA – October 15, 2015Christian McCaffrey rushed for a program-record-tying four touchdowns and 243 yards on 25 carries (9.7 yards per carry), breaking Toby Gerhart's existing Stanford single-game mark of 223 yards on the ground, in a 56-35 victory over the Bruins. McCaffrey also piled up 369 all-purpose yards, including 122 yards on kickoff returns, highlighted by a 96-yard return in the first quarter.

#4 - Tyler Gaffney vs. No. 3 Oregon – November 7, 2013Behind the running of Tyler Gaffney, who rushed a school-record 45 times for 157 yards and a touchdown, Stanford used a grind-it-out approach to keep the lethal Oregon offense, which came in averaging 55.6 points per game, off the field in a 26-20 victory in front of an over-capacity crowd of 51,424.

#1 - Christian McCaffrey vs. No. 20 USC – 2015 Pac-12 ChampionshipChristian McCaffrey earned Pac-12 Championship Game Most Valuable Player after totaling a Stanford-record 461 all-purpose yards to push him past Barry Sanders for the FBS single-season all-purpose yardage record. McCaffrey rushed for 207 yards on 32 carries, caught four passes for 105 yards, returned five kickoffs for 120 yards, and returned two punts for 29 yards. He scored touchdowns rushing and receiving, and passed for another when he connected with Kevin Hogan on an 11-yard score to guide Stanford to a 41-22 victory.

Stanford buried the Huskies 65-21 underneath an avalanche of rushing yards, compiling a Stanford single-game record 446 yards while averaging 10.1 yards per carry on 44 rushes to the tune of five touchdowns. Stepfan Taylor rushed for 138 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries, while Tyler Gaffney gained 117 yards with a touchdown on nine. The Cardinal nearly had a third back reach 100 yards as Anthony Wilkerson gained 93 on 14 carries and scored two touchdowns – including a 62-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. Chris Owusu (1-45), Andrew Luck (3-23), Jeremy Stewart (6-20, 1 TD) and Geoff Meinken (1-10) rounded out the record-setting rush.
Stepfan Taylor vs. Arizona – October 6, 2012
After Stanford erased a 14-point deficit with less than 10 minutes left in regulation, Stepfan Taylor completed a 54-48 comeback victory over Arizona by springing for a 21-yard touchdown run on the second play of Stanford's first possession in overtime. The game-winner capped a 142-yard day with two touchdowns on 31 carries for Taylor.
Tyler Gaffney vs. UCLA – October 19, 2013
Tyler Gaffney carried 36 times for 171 yards and two touchdowns, the last a clinching four-yard run with 1:42 left in the game, to guide Stanford to a 24-10 victory over the Bruins.
