Get to Know Kendall Kipp

What's your favorite way to spend a day off?Sleeping in, shopping, watching movies, and going on adventures with teammates.

What surprised you the most about being a student-athlete at Stanford?I was surprised by how manageable it is! It's definitely a lot of hard work managing everything, but they provide us with so much support to make sure we are successful! The coaches and staff truly care about us as people.

Do you have any pet peeves?Loud chewing and being stuck behind slow walkers and drivers.

If you weren't playing volleyball at Stanford, what sport would you want to play?Swimming- I swam for 14 years!

Do you have any prematch rituals? If so, what are they?I always put everything right on first; then left. I always listen to music, drink a coffee, and eat a pack of fruit snacks!

Outside of volleyball, what's something you're passionate about and why?Outside of volleyball, I'm passionate about exploration and travel. Whether that's skiing, camping, hiking, or relaxing on a beach, I love trying new things and seeing new places.

Why did you choose to attend Stanford? From the first time I stepped onto the Stanford campus I felt like I was at home. I loved the team and coaching staff. I also loved how all the players and staff talked about the importance of academics- that we are here to be students first, then athletes. Stanford athletes are very humble which makes for an amazing and unique culture. Everyone is striving to be the best they can be in every aspect of life and pushing each other to be better.
