Seattle Bound

SETTING THE SCENE
Heading to Seattle for the first of two in the Evergreen State, Stanford (16-9, 5-7 Pac-12) will take on Washington (12-14, 2-11 Pac-12) in the second meeting between the programs this season. The action will air on Pac-12 Networks.

THE OPENING TIP
• Stanford bested the Huskies in the teams’ first meeting, 61-55, on Jan. 9 at Maples Pavilion.
• Junior Oscar da Silva leads the team with 15.9 points per game, a mark which ranks 10th in the conference. He also holds the 22nd-best national mark in field goal percentage (59.0), and was the Pac-12 Player of the Week for Jan. 27-Feb. 2.
• Stanford held 12 of its 13 non-conference opponents below 70 points and has limited its Pac-12 foes to an average of 64.8 points per game, which ranks second in the league. The program also boasts the best overall scoring defense in the Pac-12 (61.7), and the 19th-best nationally. As of Feb. 18, KenPom rates the Cardinal defense as the ninth-most efficient in the country.
Bryce Wills set a new career-best with 25 points in Stanford’s last contest, vs. Arizona - nine more than his previous high. Wills has reached double figures eight times this season, including four in the Pac-12 slate.
• Stanford and Washington have traded series sweeps over the past two seasons, with the Cardinal taking both in 2018 and the Huskies holding court in 2019. A win on Thursday would give Stanford it’s second sweep in three seasons, and third since 2014-15. The last Cardinal road sweep of Washington and Washington State came in 2017-18, with both wins coming by nine points.

IN THE DAWGS’ HOUSE
Four Stanford players boast double-figure scoring averages in their careers against Washington: Spencer Jones (14.0), Tyrell Terry (11.0), Oscar da Silva (10.0) and Daejon Davis (10.0), and all four had at least 10 points in the January meeting. In the Cardinal’s last win in Seattle (Jan. 13, 2018), Davis led the way with 16 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, while da Silva added five points and 11 boards of his own.
