STANFORD, Calif. - Seniors Jacklyn Luu and Caitlin Klauer finished 1-2 in the Collegiate A Technical Competition to guide Stanford to a victory over Ohio State and Incarnate Word on Saturday morning. The Cardinal competed virtually against its competition as part of the OSU Virtual Technical Invitational, averaging a 74.9851 to best Ohio State (72.8360) and Incarnate Word (71.5672).
Luu, a 2019 Collegiate All-American, took top honors with an individual score of 78.6442. Klauer, also an All-American in 2019, followed just .39 points behind at 78.2500. Luu had previously captured the technical competition title at the 2020 Western Regionals.
Stanford managed to claim five of the top 10 spots in the overall standings, with junior Alexandra Suarez (76.1731) and freshman Emmanuella Tchakmakjian (76.0577) finishing sixth and seventh, respectively. Junior Grace Alwan rounded out the Cardinal in the top 10, finishing ninth with a score of 75.1995.
