Widner Claims All-Around Title

SEATTLE, Wash. – Sophomore Chloe Widner captured a share of the all-around title on Sunday after scoring a 39.275 to help guide Stanford to a 191.825 team score.

The Cardinal finished third while competing against Washington and Boise State. Boise State finished first overall with a score of 196.325, followed by Washington at 195.000.

Widner, a native of Frisco, Texas, posted a 9.875 on vault, 9.850 on beam, a 9.825 on floor and a 9.725 on bars to capture the title. In addition to winning the all-around, Widner won the vault and beam events.

Senior Kyla Bryant also competed in the all-around, managing a score of 38.600 to finish fourth. Bryant's top individual finish came on floor where she scored a 9.900 to place second overall. She also managed a 9.775 on both vault and bars, with the vault score good for fifth place.


Highlighted by Bryant's second-place finish, the Cardinal scored a 49.050 on floor.

The Cardinal will return to action on March 10 when it travels to San Jose State for a 3 p.m. meet with the Spartans.
