STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford men's basketball landed four players with All-Pac-12 honors, as announced by the conference on Tuesday. Senior Oscar da Silva was named to the All-Pac-12 first team and the All-Pac-12 Defensive team, and junior Jaiden Delaire was named the Pac-12 Most Improved Player of the Year, in addition to garnering all-conference honorable mention status. Junior Bryce Wills was an honorable mention pick to the All-Defense team, while freshman Ziaire Williams was an honorable mention selection to the All-Freshman team.
Posting one of the most-productive seasons across the board in the country, Oscar da Silva is the first player in program history to receive first team All-Pac-12 honors while also earning a nod to the All-Defense team. He averaged 18.9 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in conference play, while shooting 55.2 percent from the floor, and he is the only player nationally this season to average at least 18 points, six rebounds and two assists per game while shooting more than 55 percent from the field.
The All-Pac-12 first team honor is the second in-a-row for da Silva, while this is his first All-Defensive honor. He is also a finalist for the Senior CLASS Award, and was a top-10 finalist for the Karl Malone Power Forward of the Year award.
Jaiden Delaire is the third player in program history to earn the Pac-12 Most Improved Player of the Year award, joining Dwight Powell (2013) and Anthony Brown (2014). He also earns his first postseason accolade with an honorable mention All-Pac-12 selection. Delaire emerged in conference play, where he posted 13.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game, including four 20-point contests and 14 games in double figures.
After an All-Defensive honor as a sophomore, Bryce Wills earns his second-straight postseason honor from the Pac-12 with an honorable mention All-Defensive selection. Wills, who earned the honor despite missing 10 games, can defend any position on the floor, and consistently held his marks to a low shooting percentage. He averaged a steal per game in conference play, and scored 6.3 points per night on 50.3 percent shooting on the offensive end.
The highest-rated recruit in program history, Ziaire Williams was an honorable mention All-Pac-12 Freshman Team selection despite missing six games. Capable of defending multiple positions, Williams averaged 10.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game in conference play, while posting the program's second-ever triple-double against Washington on Jan. 7. Williams was in double figures eight times in Pac-12 action, and was a top-10 finalist for the Julius Erving Small Forward of the Year award.
Stanford earned the sixth seed in the Pac-12 Tournament, and begins postseason play on Wednesday, March 10 at 7 p.m. PT against 11th-seeded California.
