Men’s Rowing Falls to Washington

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – Opening its 2021 campaign at home, men's rowing fell in a dual with Washington on Saturday. The two teams raced six times, twice each at 8+, 4- and 4+ classifications for 2,000 meters.

The Huskies were victorious in the varsity eight race, pulling away for an open water victory. Stanford's second varsity fell by 18 seconds, crossing the line at 6:05.8.

The Cardinal varsity four, both with and without the coxswain, rowed the tightest races of the day, with margins of six and eight seconds difference, respectively.

Stanford continues its season next weekend at Redwood Shores, when it hosts Cal, Oregon State and Santa Clara.
