Stanford offensive tackle Walker Little was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars on Friday night with the 45th pick in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
"Walker is big, long and a physical run blocker," Bradford M. Freeman Director of Football David Shaw said following his selection. "He is an exceptional pass protector that would have gone in the first round if it weren't for the Covid issues. Jacksonville is getting a great player and a great man!"
Little, a native of Houston, Texas, is the first Cardinal to be drafted by Jacksonville and the first Stanford offensive lineman to be drafted since Joshua Garnett in 2016.
In 2017, Little became the first true freshman to start at left tackle for the Cardinal since Kirk Chambers in 2000. He was named Pac-12 Freshman Offensive Co-Player of the Year that season, as he blocked for running back Bryce Love during his historic campaign. Little was also named a Freshman All-American by ESPN at the end of his freshman season.
In 2018, Little garnered All-Pac-12 first team recognition, started all 12 games as quarterback K.J. Costello finished with the second-most passing yards in a season in school history.
Little is the eighth Stanford offensive lineman to be drafted since 2012, the most in the Pac-12.
