STANFORD, Calif. – Returning to its regular fall season after playing its last schedule in March and April of this year, Stanford field hockey has revealed a slate of 12 contests, including four at home on the Varsity Field Hockey Turf.
The Cardinal opens the campaign with a non-conference bout against rival California, set for 6 p.m. on Friday, August 27. The first three games of the year will be played at home, as Stanford welcomes Liberty and Dartmouth to the Bay Area on consecutive Mondays, August 30 and Sept. 6, respectively.
Stanford hits the road for the first time and opens America East action on Friday, Sept. 24 at Vermont, and heads North two days later for a Sunday battle at Maine. Stanford returns to California for its final home game of the season on Friday, Oct. 1 against UC Davis.
The team's second East Coast swing includes stops at Albany, Oct. 8, and Monmouth, Oct. 10. A rematch with Cal, this time in conference play, is set for Friday, Oct. 22 in Berkeley. The contest will be broadcast on Pac-12 Networks.
The final non-conference meeting of the year features a rematch with UC Davis on Sunday, Oct. 24, while the team treks East for the final time in the regular season on Oct. 29 and 31 for games at New Hampshire and UMass Lowell.
The America East Tournament will be played Nov. 4-6, and the NCAA Championship gets underway on Nov. 12.
