STANFORD, Calif. - Having already secured back-to-back national titles with a victory on April 17 from Maturi Pavilion in Minneapolis, Stanford men's gymnastics has added a third consecutive College Gymnastics Association's national academic team championship. The academic team title is the ninth for the Cardinal since the inception of the team award in 1991. Stanford managed a 3.846 team GPA to capture the top honor.
This year marks just the fourth time in history that a program has garnered both the national title and academic title – with Stanford managing the feat three times (2009, 2019, 2021). Michigan also took both ends of the championship in 2010.
Rounding out the top five are Michigan, Minnesota, William & Mary and California. The top 10 team GPAs are as follows:
- Stanford — 3.846
Michigan — 3.681
Minnesota — 3.638
- William & Mary — 3.607
California — 3.474
