McKee Honored

STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford sophomore quarterback Tanner McKee was honored by both the Manning Award and the Davey O'Brien Award, Monday following the Cardinal's 42-28 win at No. 14 USC, Saturday night.

McKee was one of eight quarterbacks named a Manning Award Star of the Week, as well as to the Davey O'Brien Great 8 list.

Making his first career start, McKee was phenomenal in leading Stanford to an upset of the Trojans. McKee was 16-of-23 with zero turnovers, throwing two touchdowns and adding a third on the ground. His three total touchdowns are tied with Kevin Hogan (2012, vs. No. 13 Oregon State) for the most by a Stanford quarterback in their first career start.

Since 2012, McKee is one of 13 FBS quarterbacks to defeat a ranked opponent on the road in their first career start – and the first Pac-12 player to accomplish the feat since Tavita Pritchard led Stanford to a 24-23 win at No. 2 USC in 2007.
