The Cardinal, now 12-2 on the year, returns to action next weekend at UC Santa Barbara.

No. 3 Stanford 6 - No. 1 UCLA 10

Defense reigned supreme early on, as each team was keyed in on the other's attack from the opening sprint.

Tied at 1-1 after the first period, the two squads traded goals back and forth, all the way up to AJ Rossman tying the game at 5-5 just before the end of the third period.

UCLA scored late in the third making it 6-5 and was the first team to break rhythm, scoring consecutively for its biggest lead of the game at 7-5. The Bruins didn't stop there, making it 8-5 and stretching the lead to a point from which Stanford couldn't recover.
