The Cardinal defeated No. 14 USC on Sept. 11 and No. 3 Oregon on Oct. 2. The two programs were set to meet at Stanford Stadium in 2020, but the game was canceled due to COVID-19 testing and contact tracing numbers at Washington State.
• In its first six games of the season, Stanford has already played four ranked opponents. The Cardinal is 2-2 in those matchups. Stanford was one of three teams nationally scheduled to play six Top-25 opponents according to the AP Preseason Top 25.
