Gameday Hub: Washington

Following its bye week, Stanford returns home to host the Washington Huskies. The Cardinal has played five of its first seven games away from home, but will play four of its final five games at home to finish the regular season.

Through the season’s first eight weeks, Stanford is the only Power Five program to have played five games away from home.

Stanford and Washington meet for the 92nd time in series history on Saturday. Stanford narrowly leads the all-time series, with 44 wins, 43 losses and four ties. At Stanford Stadium, the Cardinal is 23-20-1 against the Huskies.

Bradford M. Freeman Director of Football David Shaw is in his 11th season. He owns 29 wins vs. Top-25 opponents, 17 wins over teams in the Top 15 and 11 Top-10 wins.

David Shaw is 7-3 against the Huskies in his head coaching career. Stanford has defeated a ranked Washington squad in two straight years, including a 31-26 win at Washington last season. It was the Cardinal’s first win in Seattle since 2014.

Shaw’s 93 career wins is the 10th-most among coaches in Pac-12 history while his 64 Pac-12 regular season wins is tied for sixth most.

Since the start of the 2010 season, Stanford is 54-14 (.794) at Stanford Stadium.
