Two Top Five Finishes

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Stanford took home second overall at the Fall Pacific Coast Championship this weekend in southern California and fifth place in the ICSA Match Race National Championship in St. Petersbug, Florida.

The Cardinal won the B division with 10 points and took home second in both the A and C divisions with 24 and 18 points, respectively in the Fall Pacific Coast Championship. Stanford totaled 52 points on the weekend, second to UC Santa Barbara's 39.

Michelle Lahrkamp and Abigail Tindall lined up for Stanford in the A division, Telis Athanasopoulos Yogo and Sammy Pickell raced in the B division, and Berta Puig and Ashton Borcherding rounded out the group in the C division.        

Of the 18 total races through all three divisions in the Fall Pacific Coast Championship regatta, Stanford finished in the top three in 15. This marked the 13th regatta of the fall season that the Cardinal finished in the top five.

In Florida, Stanford took home fifth place following wins against Fordham, Bowdoin, Jacksonville, and Wisconsin.

These two events marked the 12th and 13th regattas of the fall season that the Cardinal finished in the top five.

Stanford will be back in action on Tuesday for the Big Sail against California in the San Francisco bay.
