GREENSBORO, N.C. -  Andrei Minakov set a new Stanford record in the 100 free at 41.69 and many other swimmers had impressive showings on the final day of the NC State/GAC invite.

The freshman Olympian continued his stellar performance in the meet by winning the 100 free individual event and grabbing an NCAA A standard time before breaking the Stanford record later in the meet by leading off the 400 free relay.

Grant Shoults took third place in the 1650 free, clocking a 14:56.07. That showing earned Shoults an NCAA B standard time.

Stanford was well-represented in the 200 back, as Leon MacAlister snagged first place and Alex Boratto took home fourth. MacAlister continued to flex his dominance in the backstroke with a time of 1:40.30 and sixth all time in Stanford history. Aaron Sequeira nabbed ninth and Shane Blinkman added 14th to round out Stanford's showing in the event.

Luke Maurer joined Minakov in the 100 free this afternoon and he took home a 12th place finish with a 43.38, good for an NCAA B standard.

Three Stanford men competed in the A final of the 200 breast with Daniel Roy taking home first place with a time of 1:52.54. He was followed by Ethan Dang and Heyden Zheng who finished seventh and eighth. All three swimmers earned NCAA B standard times.

Jonny Affeld was the top Cardinal finisher in the 200 fly, taking home sixth with a 1:44.95 time. Matt Fenlon, Alex Liang, Preston Forst, and Rick Mihm took the top-four spots in the B final, making it a total of five Cardinal swimmers finishing in the top-16 of the event and each one earned the NCAA B standard.

The meet wrapped up with the 400 free relay, where Stanford claimed third place thanks to swims from Minakov, Maurer, Affeld, and MacAlister. The team finished with a time of 2:49.09, earning an NCAA A standard time.

AUSTIN, Texas - Jack Ryan was the top finisher for the Stanford men on the 3-meter, taking fifth place with a score of 387.60.

In the 10-meter competition, Ethan Foster also took home fifth place, scoring 348.80 in the event.
