SETTING THE SCENE
The first taste of Pac-12 action arrives in Boulder, as Stanford men’s basketball travels to Colorado for a 4 p.m. PT tip on Sunday, Nov. 28. The game will be broadcast on Pac-12 Network.
THE OPENING TIP
• Stanford is 4-2 to start the season, with all four wins coming in double-digit fashion. Harrison Ingram leads the team with 12.7 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game, while Jaiden Delaire is also averaging double figures with 10.8 per night. 10 players are scoring at least four points a night.
• Delaire was named last season’s Pac-12’s Most Improved Player of the Year after more than doubling his sophomore scoring mark to 13.4 points per game in conference action. He reached double-figure scoring in 15 of the last 19 games in 2020-21, and three games to start 2021-22.
• The Cardinal is looking for its first win over Colorado since beating the 21st-ranked Buffaloes on March 1, 2020 in what was Stanford’s last men’s basketball event with fans in attendance before this season.
• Stanford is 4-0 at home this season, besting opponents by an average of 13.5 points per game at Maples Pavilion. The Cardinal is unbeaten in November home games over the last three-plus seasons (12-0).
• The Cardinal has outrebounded its opponent in all six games this season, posting a plus-10.2 margin on the glass, which is 26th-best nationally. Stanford is holding foes to 28.3 rebounds per game, and ranks in the top-25 nationally in offensive rebound percentage and defensive rebound percentage per KenPom.
INGRAM STANDS ALONE
Harrison Ingram is the only freshman in the country to post averages of at least 12 points, seven rebounds and three assists per game. He joins only Gonzaga phenom Chet Holmgren if the rebound mark is lowered to six per game, while nationally he is one of 16 players averaging at least 12/7/3. He is the only true freshman in the Pac-12 averaging double-figure points per game, 4.1 more than second-place Mouhamed Gueye of Washington State, while teammate Maxime Raynaud has the third-most with eight per night. Ingram leads all Pac-12 freshmen in rebounds and assists as well.
