STANFORD, Calif. – Junior Brody Malone managed a career-high 86.500 in the all-around to guide Stanford to a 412.350-371.250 victory over Army on Saturday in a virtual meet.

The Cardinal celebrated senior day on Saturday, honoring seniors Andrew Bitner, Trevor DiGerolamo and Blake Sun after the win.

Malone won five of the six events in addition to the all-around on Saturday, including registering a career-best 15.100 on the parallel bars to become the first gymnast this year to post a 15-plus in the event.

Malone began his day with a 14.550 on floor to capture the event title before hitting for a 13.700 to win the pommel horse. Moving to rings, the native of Summerville, Ga. posted a season-high 14.150 to capture top honors there as well. A 14.550 on vault finished second behind teammate Brandon Briones at 14.700. After the national-best score on parallel bars, Malone finished his day with a 14.450 on high bar to manage another season high.

Briones and sophomore Riley Loos also competed in the all-around, with Briones finishing with an 82.550. Loos, who took second on floor with a 14.300, followed close behind at 82.250.

Briones managed a pair of season highs on Saturday, hitting for a 13.300 on pommel horse before registering a 13.650 on rings.

Junior Ian Gunther claimed three second-place finishes, taking the runner-up position on pommel horse (13.600), rings (13.800) and high bar (13.550).

In his last meet on campus, Sun took second on parallel bars with a 13.900.

The Cardinal as a team posted three season best scores, including a 69.800 on floor, 67.250 on pommel horse and 66.650 on high bar.

Stanford will now prepare for the MPSF Championships on April 3 from Colorado Springs, Colo.
