Stanford welcomes Washington to Maples Pavilion on Sunday afternoon in the third of four-straight games at home and the fifth of eight games over a 17-day stretch. The action tips at 1 p.m. on ESPNU.
THE OPENING TIP
• Stanford is 13-8 (6-5 Pac-12) overall, with conference wins over Oregon, USC (twice), Washington State, Arizona State and Cal. Harrison Ingram leads the team with 11.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, while Jaiden Delaire scores 10.9 points per night. Michael O’Connell paces the squad with 3.8 assists per night.
• The Cardinal earned its fourth quadrant one win on Jan. 27 vs. USC, and is one of 18 teams nationally to meet that threshold. Stanford is the only Pac-12 team with four wins in the top tier.
• Stanford is 9-2 at home this season, with five of the wins coming in double-digit fashion. The Cardinal remained unbeaten in November home games since 2018 (12-0), and got off to a 7-0 start at home for the second time in three seasons. The Cardinal is 4-2 in home Pac-12 games, including a buzzer-beating win over Oregon on Dec. 12 and an upset over then-No. 5 USC on Jan. 11.
• The Cardinal has outrebounded its opponent in 19 of 21 games this season, posting a plus-7.7 margin on the glass, which is 14th-best nationally. Stanford ranks in the top-25 nationally in offensive rebound 25th, 34.4%) and defensive rebound percentage (7th, 78.1%) per KenPom.
• Stanford has won four of the last five meetings with the Huskies, and four of the last five in the Bay Area, but the Huskies edged the Cardinal in January in Seattle, 67-64.
CLIMBING THE LADDER
Spencer Jones has established himself as one of the best 3-point shooters in program history, and the sniper moved into the top-15 in program history in made threes against Arizona. Jones enters the bout with the Cougars with 158 triples, good for 13th on the Stanford list. He now sits 11 treys away from tying David Moseley ’00 and Matt Lottich ’04 for 11th on the Stanford list, and 20 away from moving into the top-10. Jones had four triples last time out against Washington State on Thursday.
