SUNNYVALE, Calif. – No. 16 Stanford won eight of 10 bouts to defeat Menlo College, 41-6, Saturday, at Fremont High School.
Of Stanford's eight wins, seven came by bonus points, including falls by Shane Griffith (165), Tyler Eischens (174) and Peter Ming (285). The Cardinal improved to 3-2 on the season.
Real Woods (141) and Nick Stemmet (197) both won by technical falls, while Jackson DiSario (133) earned a major decision. Returning to the mat for Stanford was 149-pounder Jaden Abas, who won by injury default. Also returning for the Cardinal was junior Nick Addison, who rounded out the scoring with a decision.
