STANFORD, Calif. – The Cardinal has six active alumni in the National Basketball Association, with the Milwaukee Bucks, Orlando Magic, Miami Heat, Dallas Mavericks and Memphis Grizzlies rostering at least one Cardinal product. Five of the six players are competing for teams in a top-six playoff position.
Stanford is one of 12 programs nationally with a player drafted in each of the last three seasons, while a plethora of alumni are competing professionally around the world.
Brook Lopez | Milwaukee Bucks
Lopez is coming off an NBA Championship with the Bucks in 2021, where he averaged 13.0 points per game in the playoffs and 11.5 in the NBA Finals. He was the first Stanford product to win an NBA title since Mark Madsen won with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2002. Lopez only played in the season opener this year, scoring eight points with five rebounds and three blocks, and has missed the rest of the season to this point due to injury. The Bucks are third in the East at 25-15.
