LONG BEACH, Calif. - Back in the pool for the first time in two weeks, No. 1 Stanford breezed past No. 10 Long Beach State 15-6 on Sunday afternoon to remain unbeaten in three road matches.

Stanford (13-1, 1-0 MPSF) extended its winning streak to nine, building a commanding halftime lead and holding off Long Beach State (11-11, 0-1 Big West) over the final two periods.

The Cardinal, which was playing its first game since routing Arizona State 22-9 on March 6, was led by Aria Fischer's game-high five goals.

Makenzie Fischer added four goals, Ryann Neushul and Jewel Roemer both scored twice and Sophie Wallace chipped in with two assists.

Stanford held a 28-23 shot advantage, scoring four times off the power play while converting both of its penalty shots.

Makenzie Fischer and Aria Fischer both scored three times in the first half, staking the Cardinal to a 9-2 lead at intermission.

Stanford next faces UCLA on Saturday, March 26, at 1 p.m. in a game that will be televised on Pac-12 Networks.
