Two Days Down

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - More strong diving on day two of the NCAA Zone E Dive Meet resulted in more spots for Stanford divers at the NCAA Championships.

Ethan Foster (626.60) was the sole competitor for the Cardinal on the men's platform. The junior finished third after a strong preliminary round and secured his spot at the NCAA Championships with a fifth place finish in finals.

Maria Papworth(698.95) was the leading Cardinal diver on the women's 3-meter, taking home second overall in finals. Carolina Sculti (698.35) wasn't far behind, however, finishing third in the event while Daria Lenz (618.70) took seventh overall.

Papworth, Sculti, and Lenz have now all qualified for both the 1-meter and 3-meter competitions at the NCAA Championships.

In the 3-meter, Lauren Burch (592.05) also qualified for finals and finished 14th overall.

The Cardinal will wrap up the NCAA Zone E Dive Meet tomorrow on the men's 1-meter and the women's platform.
