PCCSC Sailor of the Year

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Jack Parkin has been named the PCCSC Sailor of the year award for the 2021-22 season, adding to an impressive Stanford sailing resume. Parkin clinched the award this weekend after helping solidify Stanford's spot at nationals next month.

This past weekend, he led Stanford to an undefeated finish at the PCCSC Team Race Championship, making it back-to-back PCCSC victories for the Cardinal. He helped Stanford claim a second consecutive victory in the PCCSC Coed Championship fleet race as well, taking the helm of the A-boat as skipper.

The fifth-year senior has been instrumental across the board for the Cardinal this season, helping secure 13 event victories across the fall and spring seasons.

Last year, Parkin served as skipper at the ICSA Team Race National Championships, helping lead Stanford to fifth place overall. He also helped Stanford win and go undefeated at the PCCSC Team Race Championship, and he led Stanford to the PCCSC Coed Championship as the skipper for the A-boat.

Parkin will look to add to his legacy at the Navy Spring later this month before competing at the national championships in May.
