Humphrey Honored

SPARKS, Md. -  Ashley Humphrey earned another accolade on Thursday, being named a third team IWLCA All-American. This marks Stanford's second straight season with an IWLCA All-America selection after Ali Baiocco was lauded with second team honors in 2021.

Humphrey made her presence felt on Stanford's offense immediately as a redshirt freshman. The Darien, Connecticut native produced arguably the greatest offensive season by a single player in Stanford women's lacrosse history.

In just her second career game for the Cardinal, Humphrey set a new record for assists in a game with eight against Albany. Later this season, she set a new mark again, dishing nine assists to lead Stanford to a Pac-12 Championship win over ASU.

The young attacker also flew up the rankings in both points (124) and assists (88), recording more of each in a single season than any player in Stanford lacrosse history. Her assist numbers were the best the NCAA has ever seen, as Humphrey broke the national records for both assists in a season and assists per game (4.63).

Humphrey will look to take even more control of Stanford's attack next season as the program loses offensive stars and seniors Ali Baiocco and Galen Lew.
