17 Named IRCA Scholar-Athletes

STANFORD, Calif. – The Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches of America (IRCA) announced 17 Stanford rowers have been named IRCA Scholar-Athletes, excelling both on the water and in the classroom.

In order to qualify for the honor, athletes needed to maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher through the fall semester, be of at least sophomore standing academically, and must have competed in their program's top 3 boats during the current season or raced at the 2022 IRA Championship.

Stanford men's rowing recorded two top-20 finishes at the 2022 IRA Championships, continuing a 14-year streak of Stanford boats finishing in the upper-20 boats at the annual championship regatta.
