STANFORD, Calif. – Excelling in the classroom and on the court, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced 16 Stanford tennis players have been named ITA Scholar-Athletes. Six athletes qualified from the women's team, while the men's team added 10. Both programs were selected as ITA All-Academic Teams.
In order to qualify for the honor, athletes needed to maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher during the current academic year. To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, the programs needed to have a 3.2 grade point average or higher.
Both teams finished with an identical 19-6 overall record in 2022, advancing to the Super Regionals of the NCAA Tournament. The women finished with a national ranking of 13, while the men checked in at 15th.
The Cardinal women went 7-2 in Pac-12 play and won the Pac-12 Tournament in Ojai, while the men were 6-2 in conference play.
