Men's Tennis Begins Fall Competition

- Stanford opens the 2022-23 campaign at the Battle in the Bay Classic, hosted by San Francisco from Sept. 22-26 at California Tennis Club.
- Fliip Kolasinski and Aryan Chaudhary will represent the Cardinal in the event, both in singles and as a doubles pair. Neel Rajesh and Isaac Gorelik participated in the qualifying draw earlier in the week, with Rajesh going 3-1 in singles and Gorelik 2-1. As a pair, Rajesh and Gorelik went 1-1.
- Stanford returns many of its key performers from a year ago, led by All-American Arthur Fery and All-Pac-12 honoree Max Basing. Fery was ranked as high as No. 1 in the country last season in singles and No. 6 in doubles, going 24-8 in singles and 26-10 in doubles a year ago. Basing was one of the top freshmen in the conference in 2021-22, going 23-4 in singles and 15-10 in doubles en route to ITA Northwest Region Rookie of the Year accolades.
- Basing starts the fall ranked No. 40 in singles, while Stanford has two freshmen ranked in the ITA Newcomer category: Nishesh Basavareddy (No. 2) and Samir Banerjee (No. 9).
- Stanford went 19-6 last season, including a perfect 10-0 record at Taube Family Tennis Center. Stanford earned a bid to its 14th consecutive NCAA Tournament, traveling to 14th seeded Harvard for a pair of victories to advance to the Super Regional. 
- Paul Goldstein is in his ninth season as the Taube Family Director of Men's Tennis. Goldstein’s teams have posted a 131-55 record with a national ranking and a berth in the NCAA Championships in each of his seasons at the helm.
