- The fall tennis slate wraps up this weekend, with Stanford sending a pair of singles players to the ITA Fall National Championships. Nishesh Basavareddy is the No. 3 overall seed, while Max Basing qualified automatically after finishing in the top-four at the ITA All-American Championships.
- Basavareddy is 12-1 on the season after winning the ITA Northwest Super Regional and the consolation bracket at the ITA All-American Championships. Basavareddy was slotted in as the third overall seed in the event, with the freshman entering with a 3-0 record over Pac-12 foes and a 5-1 record over ranked foes. He opens the event against Oklahoma's Nathan Han.
- Basing is 4-1 on the season, doing all of his damage in the main draw of the ITA All-American Championships. The sophomore, who went 21-4 as a freshman, beat four straight ranked opponents to advance to the tournament's semifinals. Basing was ranked No. 40 in the ITA preseason rankings, and he will face No. 52 Nemanja Malesevic in the opening round. Basing faced Malesevic in Stanford's 4-0 win over Mississippi State in last year's NCAA Tournament, with Basing winning 6-3, 7-5.
- Stanford found tremendous success at the 2021 ITA National Championship, as Arthur Fery reached the championship match in both singles and doubles, forming a tandem with Alexandre Rotsaert '22.
- The Cardinal has had nine players in action this Fall, with six players recording multiple singles wins and three doubles pairs winning at least one matchup.
- Stanford returns many of its key performers from a year ago, led by All-American Arthur Fery and All-Pac-12 honoree Max Basing. Fery was ranked as high as No. 1 in the country last season in singles and No. 6 in doubles, going 24-8 in singles and 26-10 in doubles a year ago. Basing was one of the top freshmen in the conference in 2021-22, going 23-4 in singles and 15-10 in doubles en route to ITA Northwest Region Rookie of the Year accolades.
