STANFORD, Calif. – Graduate student Abby Greubel has been named to the 2022 College Sports Communicators Academic All-America second team, it was announced on Tuesday.
Greubel, who will graduate from Stanford with a degree in science, technology and society and a master's in sustainability science and practice, carries a 3.85 undergraduate GPA and a 4.00 mark in graduate school.
Nineteen of the 34 members of the Academic All-America® Division I women's soccer teams boast a perfect 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate school. The 13 members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.98.
Greubel appeared in 22 matches this season, starting 19, while scoring five goals and adding two assists for 12 points. The native of Santa Ana, Calif. contributed a game-winner against Colorado on October 30.
Over 81 career matches played for the Cardinal, Greubel scored 17 goals and added 13 assists to finish with 47 points. She helped guide Stanford to the 2019 national championship and three Pac-12 titles in 2018, 2019 and 2022.
With Greubel's selection, the Cardinal has now had at least one Academic All-American according to College Sports Communicators (previously CoSIDA) in every season since 2016.
