The contest remained close through the first 15 minutes as Stanford and its cross-bay rival headed into the first quarter break at three goals apiece. Annabel Frist bagged two of her five goals in the first period, while Ashley Humphrey added one as well.

The Cardinal's offense took off in the second quarter and didn't look back. Stanford tallied 17 more goals, with five coming in the second, and six coming in both the third and fourth quarters.
