WESTMONT, Ill. - Stanford finished second overall at Collegiate Nationals on Saturday, claiming two event titles during the competition. Ohio State finished in first with 95 points while Stanford took second with 92.
The first title on Saturday was claimed by Stanford in the trio as Lindi Schroeder, Hailee Heinrich, and Nicole Goot combined to take the top spot. The team finished with an 84.0667, 0.6 points ahead of second place Ohio State.
The title marked the second trio trophy during Heinrich's career and the first career titles for Schroeder and Goot.
The Cardinal also took fourth place in the event, as the freshmen trio of Miko Begossi, Yara Elian, and Ivy Davis finished with a score of 83.0333.
In the duet, Ohio State claimed the top spot, but Stanford wasn't far behind. Yara Elian and Lindi Schroeder finished second overall with a score of 83.6667, less than a point behind the leaders. Miko Begossi and Ivy Davis added a bronze medal for Stanford, coming in at 83.6333.
Lindi Schroeder gained another silver, narrowly finishing behind Ohio State in the solo competition. Schroeder ended her day with three podium finishes in the trio, duet, and solo competitions.
Nicole Goot was the top Cardinal finisher in the technical competition, taking third overall behind two Ohio State swimmers. Elian, Tchakmakjian, Schroeder, and Davis finished in fifth through eighth place as well.
The Cardinal took the top spot in the team competition, finishing with a 85.6000 to top Ohio State's second place 84.3000. Begossi, Ivy, Elian, Goot, Heinrich, Jih-Schiff, Nguyen, and Tchakmakjian combined for the Cardinal's second event title of the meet.
Heinrich, Jih-Schiff, Nguyen, and Tchakmakjian all earned the team title for the second time in their careers after also earning the team title in 2021.
